The Emory P-1000 is solid. It features a high carbon steel pan base and one-piece truss (the imports are many pieces riveted together) then they are powder coated gloss black to resist corrosion.

Imported saddles are mostly plastic and stitched, glued and stappled. Never intended to last longer than the imported bicycles that they come with.
